Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have announced a major technical recruitment drive through CEN No. 04/2026 for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).

The recruitment initially included 3,993 vacancies for JE and DMS posts. Following Corrigendum-1, additional CMA vacancies and one additional JE vacancy were added, taking the revised total to 4,029 vacancies.

Job Description

RRB JE Recruitment 2026 provides engineering and science graduates with an opportunity to work in technical and supervisory positions across different departments of Indian Railways.

Junior Engineers may be appointed in departments such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Signal, Telecommunication, Production and other allied engineering divisions depending on the post and Railway zone selected by the candidate.

Depot Material Superintendents are generally involved in material management, stock control, procurement coordination, stores supervision and maintaining the availability of technical materials required for Railway operations.
