Automation Motor Development Engineer

Automation Kolkata is hiring an experienced Manufacturing / Motor Development Engineer who can design, prototype, and test smart motors for rolling shutters and gate automation systems.

Position: Automation Motor Development Engineer (Shutter Motor & Gate Motor)

Job Summary

The selected candidate will lead the development of next-gen automation motors involving AC/DC motor design, control systems, and electromechanical integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize AC/DC motors for high torque and energy efficiency.
• Develop gearboxes, braking mechanisms, and motor housings.
• Integrate control systems including PCB boards, limit switches, remote logic, and safety features.
• Build prototypes and conduct rigorous torque and durability testing.
• Ensure compliance with Indian & international safety and electrical standards.
• Collaborate with procurement team for component sourcing.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Tech / BE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
• Experience with geared motors, actuators, pumps, or electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of gear trains, windings, magnetics, and microcontroller-based motor control.

• Pay: ₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month
