Job Description
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has invited online applications for engagement of 6,777 Act Apprentices in various workshops, divisions, and units. The apprenticeship program is designed to provide practical industrial training in different technical trades under the Skill India Mission.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Eligibility depends on the trade applied for.
General Trades (Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Turner, Machinist, etc.)
Candidates must have:
- Passed Class 10 (Madhyamik) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class 10.
- Possess a valid ITI (National Trade Certificate) in the relevant trade.
- ITI certificate must be approved by NCVT or SCVT.
Note: The minimum 50% marks requirement in Class 10 is not applicable for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.
Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology & Radiology)
Candidates should have:
- Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Obtained minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Stipend Details

Monthly Stipend
- 1st Year: ₹9,600 per month
- 2nd Year: ₹10,560 per month (10% increase, where applicable)
- 3rd Year: ₹11,040 per month (15% increase, where applicable)
Note: The stipend depends on the duration and nature of the apprenticeship trade.
Selection Process
There will be no written examination or interview for this recruitment.
The selection process consists of the following stages:
Merit List
- For General Trades, the merit list will be prepared based on the average percentage of marks obtained in:
- Class 10 (Madhyamik)
- ITI Examination
- For Medical Laboratory Technician trades, the merit list will be prepared using:
- Class 10 marks
- Higher Secondary (10+2) marks
Tie-Breaking Rule
If two or more candidates secure the same marks, the older candidate (by age) will be given preference in the merit list.
Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted in the merit list (approximately 1.5 times the number of vacancies) will be called for document verification.
