About WBSETCL

West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL), a Government of West Bengal Enterprise, is engaged in electricity transmission across the state. WBSETCL invites applications from eligible candidates for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.

Apprenticeship Trades & Vacancies

• Graduate Apprentice (Electrical): 11 Posts
• Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Electrical): 58 Posts
• Technician Apprentice (ITI – Wireman/Electrician): 69 Posts
• Total Vacancies: 138

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate Apprentice (Electrical): Graduation in Electrical Engineering (4-year full-time course) from AICTE-recognized institute.
• Technician Apprentice (Diploma): Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Technology (3-year full-time) from institute recognized by West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development.
• Technician Apprentice (ITI): Madhyamik or equivalent + ITI Trade Certificate (NCVT) in Wireman/Electrician from Directorate of Industrial Training, Govt. of West Bengal.

Important Notes

• Only candidates who passed the qualifying examination in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible.
• Graduate Apprentice candidates must register on the NATS portal.
• Application through NATS for WBSETCL must be completed on or before 27 February 2026.
