Eligibility & Age Limit

  • Education: A Degree from a recognized university or its equivalent.
  • Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak Bengali is mandatory (not required for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
  • Age (as of 01.01.2024): 20 to 39 years (Born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2004).
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD (up to 45 years).

Salary Structure (ROPA 2019)

  • Pay Level 10: ₹32,100 – ₹82,900 (For posts listed at Sl. No. 1 to 11 in notification).
  • Pay Level 9: ₹28,900 – ₹74,500 (For posts listed at Sl. No. 12 to 19 in notification).
  • Note: Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, and Medical Allowance are applicable as per State Govt. rules.

Selection Process

  1. Preliminary Exam: An MCQ-based screening test. While it is qualifying in nature, you must meet the category-wise cut-off (UR/EWS: 40%, SC: 35%, ST/PwBD: 30%).
  2. Final Examination: A conventional (written) type exam for those who clear the Prelims.
  3. Personality Test: An interview to assess administrative aptitude.
  4. Medical Examination: Final step before the appointment.
  • Note: The final merit list is prepared based on marks obtained in the Final Exam and Personality Test.

Application Fee

  • General / OBC: ₹160 + Service Charges.
  • SC/ST (of WB) & PwBD (40%+): Exempted (No Fee).
  • Candidates from other states (SC/ST/OBC) must apply as General candidates and pay the full fee.
