Job Description

GEM Drytech Systems LLP is hiring a Quality Inspection Engineer to ensure that all manufactured and purchased industrial equipment and components meet required technical, dimensional, and quality standards. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, vendor coordination, and quality assurance activities at factory, vendor, and customer sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming material inspection for raw materials and bought-out items.
• Perform in-process inspection during fabrication, machining, and assembly stages.
• Carry out final inspection to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate third-party and vendor inspections for quality compliance.
• Prepare and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection checklists, quality reports, and calibration records.
• Ensure timely calibration of measuring instruments and inspection tools.
• Follow up with vendors for material quality and delivery timelines.
• Develop and onboard new vendors for fabrication and machinery items.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and ISO/QA procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts, fabrication, welding, and machining.
• Proficiency in measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge).
• Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications (MS, SS, Aluminum).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, QA standards, and quality tools (5 Why, CAPA).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic MS Office skills for documentation and reporting.

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience in inspection, quality assurance, or vendor development preferred.
• Exposure to industrial equipment or fabrication industry is an advantage.
• Willingness to visit vendor and customer sites.
