Maintenance Manager Mechanical Engineer Job in Asansol | TRUSTEGIC

Job Description

TRUSTEGIC has been mandated by a large conglomerate in the Iron & Steel manufacturing sector. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager – Mechanical Engineer to lead maintenance operations for Sponge Iron (DRI) and Steel Melting Shop (SMS) facilities.

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance & Operations

• Lead running, shutdown, breakdown, and preventive maintenance for DRI & SMS equipment.
• Oversee maintenance of EAF, LF, CCMs, utilities, and material handling systems.
• Implement TPM and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce MTBF/MTTR.
• Quickly troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Plan and execute planned shutdowns and major turnarounds.

Strategy & Continuous Improvement

• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts planning.
• Drive yield improvement, energy optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support capital projects, upgrades, and new technology implementation.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards (LOTO, Hot Metal Handling, PPE).
• Maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 45001.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop maintenance teams including mechanical, electrical & technicians.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC, Electrical & Instrumentation teams.
• Report KPIs, budgets, and project updates to senior management.

Key Equipment Exposure

• Sponge Iron (DRI): Rotary kilns, coolers, gasifiers, raw material handling.
• Steel Melting Shop (SMS): EAF, LF, VD, CCM (Billet Casters), utilities.

Salary: ₹70,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month
