The Indian Army invites online applications for 30 posts under the 143rd Technical Graduate Course (TGC 143). Eligible candidates with B.Tech/B.E or M.Sc qualifications can apply online via joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Eligibility & Qualification

• Candidates must have passed or be in the final year of their Engineering Degree course.
• Final year students must submit proof of passing and produce the Engineering Degree certificate within 12 weeks from the commencement of training at IMA.
• Failure to submit the required documents may result in induction on an Additional Bond Basis for recovery of training costs.
• Age Limit (as on 01-07-2026): 20 – 27 years. Candidates born between 01 Jul 1999 and 30 Jun 2006.

• Lieutenant: Level 10 – ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
• Captain: Level 10B – ₹61,300 – ₹1,93,900
• Major: Level 11 – ₹69,400 – ₹2,07,200
• Lieutenant Colonel: Level 12A – ₹1,21,200 – ₹2,12,400
• Colonel: Level 13 – ₹1,30,600 – ₹2,15,900
• Brigadier: Level 13A – ₹1,39,600 – ₹2,17,600
• Major General: Level 14 – ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200
• Lieutenant General (HAG & HAG+ Scale): Level 15-16 – ₹1,82,200 – ₹2,24,400

Important Dates

Selection Process

• Shortlisting of applications based on cumulative percentage up to 6th semester for B.Tech/B.E, or 2nd semester for M.Sc.
• Applicants meeting the cut-off percentage will be allotted Selection Centres and given SSB dates on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Medical Examination as per Indian Army standards will be conducted for recommended candidates.
• Final training at Indian Military Academy (IMA) for selected candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an officer in the Indian Army after commissioning.
• Lead technical units and manage defense projects in assigned engineering discipline.
• Plan, supervise, and execute engineering operations in both peacetime and operational scenarios.
• Maintain discipline, readiness, and operational efficiency within assigned units.
• Continuously update knowledge on military technology and engineering practices.
• Participate in strategic planning, coordination, and defense training exercises.
